2009523·Last night, I tumbled about 1500 10mm cases in a single run. With my old tumbler, the most I could do at once was 300, and that was overloading it. The Dillon tumbler ran quieter, and did a better job on five times the number the cases in less time than the old tumbler. I highly recommend this product.
Used to use corncob and walnut in a dry tumbler but a wet tumbler can’t be beat for results. I’ve probably cleaned 25,000 pieces of brass in the past 2 years since I got it and it’s still going strong. Most of the time I wet tumble first then use the cabelas brand vibratory tumbler to “dry” the brass instead of doing the oven thing.

2021106·By. Philip Massaro. -. October 6, 2021. 5. Cleaning cases and reloading tools is less fun than cleaning guns, but it must be done. Brass tumblers, ultrasounds and other tools make it much quicker and easier. Spoiler alert: I’m not the neatest guy in the world. While not technically a slob, most of my guns could use a thorough cleaning, and …
202393·I have been tumbling my pistol brass for years using a Dillon vibratory tumbler. Results are good but now that I'm getting into .308 reloading I'm thinking about a wet tumbler to use with stainless media. I noticed when making .300 AAC brass the vibratory tumbler media just doesn't get inside the case or primer pocket very well.

2021919·Jim See replied: “To start I just drain off the dirty water, and rinse the brass with clean hot water. Then I roll the brass on a towel for 30 seconds and put the brass in a one-gallon bucket. Next I insert a hair dryer in the bucket (with the brass) and let it run for about 5 minutes.
2013629·Yeah, the mixer is the limiting factor (drum volume) for how much brass my dad can clean. He uses 35lbs SS media, 42lbs brass, 5 gals water, 1/3 cup lemishine, and just under an oz of dawn. He glued weatherstripping around the lip to create a seal with a plexiglas lid. It takes between 60-90 mins to clean a batch.

2009121·38-55 · #10 · Nov 12, 2009. I spent a lot of years in steam engine rooms on US Navy ships that are now long gone. I swear we used to get brasso in 5 gallon buckets and used it on everything, brass, copper, monel and everything in between. Never saw a pipe fail and some of them were well over 40 years old.
2018314·He said NOT to clean brass using a wet tumbler as it strips the brass down to bare metal with no lubrication. He said they only recommend using corn cob with polisher in it. You NEED the dust that is left on the cases after dry tumbling to act as a dry lubricant in both the dies and the neck expanding areas of the reloading process.
